生徒のみなさんに英語を勉強する理由を尋ねると、よく「字幕無しで映画が見たいから」という答えが返ってきます。そして彼女達に好きな俳優を尋ねると度々名前が挙がる俳優の一人が、ジョニー・デップです。
ある生徒さんはジョニー・デップの大ファンで、昨年１２月に、なんと彼に会うために東京まで行ってしまいました。レッスンで彼女はその時の冒険話をしてくれて、証拠の写真も何枚か持ってきてくれました。私達みんなが彼女の土産話を楽しんで聞き、会話はとても盛り上がりました。
